Stardate: 2008, 09, 06.12:00  (inside joke)

OK, I lied, it was easy but it wasn’t painless…  J and I headed out of SF on the BART this morning to go meet with Matt for lunch and a bit of house hunting.  Lunch was great & house hunting went well up until the point of putting down a deposit.

The first place we looked at was just along the lines of what we wanted. Location, space, type of community etc.  A LOT of beautiful woman at the pool, yea, we got the unit overlooking the pool.  Now we sit down with Rose, the leasing agent & start up the paperwork, easiest lease she has ever done.  Matt knows what I like… As I pull my credit card out to leave the deposits & pay for the application fees I am informed that no, we do not take credit cards, OK, I have enough cash on me for everything, again, no we do not take cash.  I sort of forgot my check book at home…….

Matt & I jump in the car to go find the liquor store that sells money orders. Find it but the guy who takes the cash for money orders is out to lunch but will be back in 45 mins….  Jump back in the car & go looking for the next place.  We find it but I realize that I am $20 short on the cash needed & Matt only has an American Express Travelers Cheque on him which the woman behind the counter is not sure she can take.  Run around the corner to the supermarket & find the ATM as Matt says offhanded as I put my card into the machine “watch, it won’t give you your card back” as I give him a sly sideways glance the machine informs me that it can’t complete my transaction.  Another card & same result.  Meanwhile Matt is cashing in his TC just in case when I finally change machines & an able to get the cash needed.  We go back to the store & get informed that yes, she can take the TC.  :-/

We get back to the leasing agent & J has talked her down to a very minimal deposit with first month free.  I give the money order over & then get informed that if I pay another (very small) fee now, it will save me a lot later.  Again no cash accepted so back into the car to the first place where the lunch guy should be back. Nope, not yet so off to the second place for another check.  Done!

We now have a new California address!  We are still getting absentee ballots for Nov from Florida because this year our votes count WAY more in FL then in CA.

Today we are off to Fisherman’s Warf for a chocolate festival & I have 2 Hogtied shoots this week & one rigging gig for Isis as a pick up shoot.

We start out house hunting in the morning and hopefully find something early on so we can relax the rest of the week.  I am doing 2 of my own hogtied shoots Mon & Wed & then I was asked to rig by Isis on Thurs.  J is getting along great with everyone here so far…

NEED SLEEP……

This will be the first real time for me to see the city and J’s first time ever.  All the other times I have been out there was when I was rigging for HT and did not have much time for myself.  This time will be different.  We will have the weekend as well as a full week to look around.  I will only be working 2 days & the rest of the time is mine….

Gotta pack!

I am so tempted to ask them the transport cost of one of my submissives in a steamer trunk.  You know, what the extra would be to have them stop every few hours to change the feeding tube & empty the bladder bag.

Yes, I was officially offered the webmaster/directors job @ Kink as the new Director of Hogtied.com. Matt has been promoted to Creative Director of Kink & all of their sites & he has been looking for his replacement. It seems I was on the top of the short list.

So, starting today I will be keeping an account of what it is like to have the dream job of every (public) rigger I have ever met or had in one of my classes. This is a lot to wrap my head around but I am really looking forward to working with such a wonderful crew of people doing what I love doing.

So, all that is left for me to do is sign the offer just emailed to me & we are good to go……. Deep Breath….
